I’m a proud optimist who truly believes that we’re each meant to live a life of joy, fulfillment, abundance, and freedom. I’ve always believed this, and for pretty much my whole life, I had a deep desire to be my happiest self, and to help others on their own happiness journey.
Growing up, I was the young girl who had inspirational quotes plastered on her bedroom walls, the athlete who would share uplifting messages with her sports teams, and the preteen who read personal growth books for pleasure. But, it wasn’t always such a smooth and seemingly easy ride.
In high school and for the better half of my undergraduate university degree, I struggled big time with body image. I wanted so badly to feel good about my life and who I was, yet I had no clue how to get there. I began restricting my food intake in an effort to feel better about myself, which, not so surprisingly, never gave me the desired outcome. After years of struggling internally, which included many physical and emotional ups and downs, I stumbled across yoga. I was blown away at the sense of deep internal peace I discovered on my yoga mat, which quickly transpired into a sense of peace amongst the rest of my life. I no longer judged myself, I no longer filled my mind with criticisms, and I finally felt at peace inside my body and with my food choices. What began as an innocent drop in class with a friend turned into a full blown love affair. Yoga began to teach me about acceptance, mindfulness, love, and peace, and I soon craved it each and every day.
In short, my mat became my mentor.
My prior struggles with body image only amplified my intense desire to be my best self. As I set out on this new path, I wanted to ensure that I would put my best interest at heart this time. I would move forward on this journey with self-love, my yoga mat, and a ton of personal growth books in tow. Above all, I was inspired to be the best version of myself.
I began listening to my body. I fed myself healthy and nourishing food. I practiced regular yoga. I read oodles of personal growth books. I spoke to myself with loving messages. I began believing in myself. I began a visualization practice. I started to love myself. I was healing.
And then, miraculous shifts started to happen. I began noticing that when I was living from a space of pure love, and implementing practices that made me feel alive, I attracted more of that into my life.
What I fed my body, mind, and soul was quite literally shaping my life.
My good intentions that I had as a young girl to spread happiness and joy became my purpose. Now more than a desire- I feel a deep need to help women transform their lives into ones where they feel alive with joy.
Because I truly believe that there is a movement taking place- one where we no longer want to simply exist, but really want to LIVE.
I've helped hundreds of women get the spark back into their lives. And I want to help you, too.
